I’ve been looking forward to writing this post for a while but wanted to gather a selection of the best gifts I could. This will be one of a couple of gift guides so if you don’t see anything here you like, not to worry I will be doing a stocking filler gift guide featuring gifts under £20.
One of the most anticipated launches for Christmas in the beauty world was the Too Faced Christmas in New York collection. I have three sets from this collection to show in this post, unfortunately I can’t keep them all and my sister already knows the Grand Hotel Café is hers and I’m hoping after a lot of not so subtle hints my mum managed to pick me one up too.
The star gift of the collection is the Grand Hotel Café (46) which includes three palettes with a coffee scent, in total you get 18 matte and shimmer eye shadows, two blushers, a bronzer and a mini size of the famous Better Than Sex Mascara. My other two favourites from this collection are The Merry Macaroons Palette (£28) which comes complete with a mini Better Than Sex Mascara and The Merry Kissmas gift set (£22) which includes 4 melted lipsticks in the shades Chihuahua and Fig, one from their Chocolate range -Honey and one from their new matte collection – Lady Balls.
This collection has already been so popular that quite a few of the products have sold out on the Debenhams website as they are limited edition for Christmas, Debenhams still have some of the mini items left that might be ideal for a Secret Santa present and when writing this the The Merry Kissmas set is still available also. You can also pick up to faced from the Selfridges website and Too Faced also ship directly from their US website to the UK. My mum was in London recently and said there were a lot of the Grand Hotel Café sets in Debenhams on Oxford Street.
Next is another couple of beauty gift sets, this time from Benefit. I end up purchasing Benefit gift sets every year for friends or my sister as they seem to be a brand that everyone including myself love. These sets are a great way to buy someone a good selection of new products to try but also most of the time certainly in the case of my friends/ family there is always one of their favourites included too. The Girl-A-Rama Gift Set (£29.50) is one that includes a good selection of miniature products and would be great to give to someone who travels a lot as they wouldn’t need to pack much else. The next set I have to show you is the Girls Gone Wow Gift Set (£39.50) which is excellent value for money including 3 full size products and 2 travel sizes. You can find in the run up to Christmas boots often do 10% off luxury beauty products in which these will be included and Feel Unique nearly always have a 15% off code floating about, I will include any discount codes I find at the bottom of this post.
I couldn’t do a gift guide post without including fragrance obviously this is very personal but I thought I’d include a few of my favourites and one that I’ve already bought as a gift for someone this year. I don’t think you can go wrong with a Marc Jacobs fragrance, they’ve become very popular over recent years especially the classic Daisy. Daisy can be found in many shops including Boots and the perfume shop with good amounts of discount but I found it harder to find the Decadence perfume (100ml) at a reasonable price. I managed to pick this one up from Amazon but shortly after I purchased it, it was available on boots for £55 instead of its usual price of £86. I will link below if the offers are still active.
A lovely present for the person who seems to have everything is a Yankee Candle with a Christmas scent. They come in a few sizes so can be bought within a few different budgets. The larger ones are £21.99 and are perfect to either gift to someone that you might see a few weeks before Christmas so they can burn it throughout December but also as they are so large they may be able to burn it over this Christmas and then get it out again and burn it throughout the lead up to Christmas next year.
If you have someone you spend a little more on then a watch or some jewellery is a lovely idea. This watch (£79) from the brand Rosefield is lovely and fits in with one of this years most popular trends being rose gold.
