This post is coming to you about a month late but I still wanted to blog about this years MAC Holiday Collection as the products are so beautiful and deserve to be photographed. I’ve was counting down the days until the release of this years holiday/ Christmas collection from MAC. I bought two products from last years collection with Mariah Carey and absolutely love the packaging and unique colours of the lipsticks I got, so getting some products this year was a must. This years collection has pretty gold packaging and each of the powder products have a festive snowflake design on top of the actual product. I went for two eyeshadows and two lipsticks, luckily I went online really early on the morning they were released and most things were still in stock.

The two lipstick shades I went for were Shimmer & Spice which is a dusty Rose with shimmer and I’m Glistening which is a light Pink with Purple sparkle both of which are in the frost finish. I’m really glad I got both of these as Shimmer & Spice is more an everyday colour and I’m Glistening is a little different for me with the Purple sparkle. I noticed when swatching the lipsticks they appear as slightly different colours depending on what light you are in, I’m Glistening is shown in the two left swatches and Shimmer & Spice the two on the right.

The eyeshadows I picked up were Stylishly Merry which is a gold shimmer and Frostwinked which is white with a silver shimmer. I think both of these will look great on their own but also really effective over darker matte shades too.

I’ve checked and there are still a few bits left from the collection on the MAC website, Lookfantastic and Harrods . I’m really happy with the few bits I managed to get, what were your favourite things from this years collection?
