I finally decided to order my first FabFitFun subscription box. This like so many of my other purchases was inspired by Mikhila McDaid (Miss Budget Beauty). FabFitFun is a US based quarterly subscription box service. The fact that it’s US based instantly attracted me as there is a chance to receive some products and brands that aren’t so readily available in the UK. This box is different to a lot of those available to us in the UK as it is based more around lifestyle as whole in the way the name suggests, I also really enjoy the option to pick some of the products to be included. There’s nothing more disappointing than receiving a subscription box full of products you aren’t going to use.
There is a couple of subscription options, you are able to pick between a Seasonal Plan or an Annual Plan. The Seasonal plan is billed each season, whilst the Annual Plan requires you to make a single payment for the following four boxes you will receive over the year. The Annual Plan does work out a little cheaper (around $20) however I opted for the Seasonal Plan as I wanted to see what my first box was like before committing. With the annual membership there is additional benefits such as more options to customise your box contents, earlier shipping and early access to members only sales.
I paid $59.99 for my box as I found a discount code for $10 off. This price included postage and packaging and import /customs fees. I signed up at the end
Now onto the exciting stuff, here’s what I received in my box –
Customisation – My selections
Yumi Kim Wireless Charging Pad
R+Co TELEVISION Perfect Hair Shampoo + Conditioner
Kate Somerville Goat Milk Moisturising Cream
FFF’s Picks
Winky Lux Uni-Brow Universal Eyebrow Pencil
Zoe Ayla Ice Roller
grace & stella Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum
MakeupDrop Hybrid Makeup Applicator
Spongelle Coconut Verbena Hand Cream
I’m really happy with what I received in this box, although most of the items I received were beauty based I still feel there is a good variety and everything looks to be full size. I’m probably most excited to use the Kate Somerville Moisturiser and the Charging Pad. I think the only thing I potentially wouldn’t have chosen is the hand cream but I guess it will come in handy right now with all the extra hand washing. The box I received was worth over $270.
After I’d made my selections there was a “Customise Boost” option meaning there was a chance to add some products for an extra cost. I chose the Too Faced bundle which included the Hangover 3-in-1 Replenishing Primer & Setting Spray and the Hangover Good in Bed Ultra-Replenishing Hydrating Serum. This was $23 in total which is great value compared to the RRP in the UK.
