I’m too disorganised to commit to a monthly favourites so I thought I’d share a few things I’ve recently been using and loving. I may start doing these occasionally depending on how often things change in my routine.
Lush Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner
This is a lazy girls product – I could open a shop with the amount of body lotion I have accumulated throughout the years but never used due to my laziness but this product is different because you apply it whilst in the shower and don’t have to wait around for it to dry.
Radox Stress Relief Bath Soak
This is a cheapy but a goody, I love using this bath soak after a long day at work. I find it really relaxes me and as it doesn’t break the bank I always have one in my bathroom and one as a backup.
Makeup Obsession Oval Brush
I’ve actually been using this brush for a few months now on the recommendation of Mikhila (formerly Miss Budget Beauty). I find it much nicer to apply foundation with this than a Beauty Blender style sponge, for me the finish is so much smoother and although my skin never looks flawless the finish this brush gives me makes me feel like I’m nearly there.
Max Factor Lasting Performance Foundation – 100 Fair
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone mention this foundation before but I think it makes a great every day option. It gives a medium coverage, is affordable and works really well on my dry skin.
Mac Mineralize Skin Finish – Soft & Gentle
At one point this may have been one of the most mentioned highlighters on the internet but rightly so, it’s a great every day option that gives a natural finish and everyone should have one in their make up bag.
Mac Prep + Prime Highlight – Light Boost
I actually don’t own that many MAC products but two have made their way into my makeup bag recently and onto this post. I love this product, its like a little pen that you twist with a brush on the end. I don’t find it particularly highlight-y but maybe that’s due to my v.pale skin but its perfect for brightening the dark circles under my eyes.
Benefit They’re Real Double the Lip – Lusty Rose
I got this mini in one of those gift sets Benefit bring out every Christmas but didn’t give it much of a go and it ended up at the back of my drawer until I recently saw Kate Murnane show it on her Instastories. It’s actually such a great natural and every day colour, it wears evenly and you can’t actually feel you’re wearing it. I’m not sure about the claims that it’s a lipstick and liner in one but it’s a really pretty lipstick regardless.
Benefit Hoola Quickie Contour Stick
This is the ultimate lazy girls contour product and that’s what I’m all about especially during the week before work. If you’re up early in the morning and can’t really be bothered with much makeup but need to look like you’ve made some kind of an effort this is the product for you, one sweep on your cheeks and little bit of blending… your contour is done!
Revolution Fortune Favours The Brave Palette
I’m so so impressed with this palette and this is coming from a girl who swears by her Too Faced and Urban Decay eye shadows. I love the range of colours it offers, it has shades that work for every occasion and the pigment is great too. Most affordable brands are a bit hit and miss with the quality of their eye shadows but Revolution and in particular this palette are a must have for everybody’s makeup bag
